Job Title: Communications Director Level: Manager (Full time)
Department: Communications/Marketing
Reports To: Executive Pastor
General Functions:
Provide coordination and direction for all communication and marketing efforts for EastLake Church Chula Vista as well as serving as communications lead and advisor for all churches within the EastLake Church Network.

Supervises:
Marketing and communications staff and volunteers at EastLake Church Chula Vista.

Supervision Received:
Reports directly to the Executive Pastor. The Communications Manager will work within a framework and protocol established by the Executive Pastor and receive additional input and direction as appropriate from the Lead Pastor; however, it is expected that the Communications Director will work with a reasonable degree of independence and latitude.

Scope & Dimensions:
The Communications Director will serve as the primary point of contact and be responsible for all communications and marketing efforts for the churches in the Community Church Movement. The Director will work in conjunction with the location pastors of each location within the movement to ensure consistency, clarity, and excellence in communication and marketing efforts.

Work Days/Hours:
The Community Church Movement offers a hybrid work environment with an expectation of approximately 40 hours per week. This position follows a Sunday through Thursday work schedule, with Sunday hours on-site during services, Monday as a remote or in-office work day, and Tuesday through Thursday as in-office days. Thursday evening hours are also required on-site when Thursday night services are in session. The Communications Director will office at the Chula Vista location on weekdays but be available to travel to additional locations as necessary.

Essential Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all communications and marketing efforts for the churches of the Community Church Movement, including all physical and digital communication and marketing resources.
Coordinate all efforts to communicate and advance both the mission of EastLake Church and the churches of the Community Church Movement and the larger mission of the church of Jesus Christ through traditional and new media formats.
Serve as primary point of contact for the location pastors of the churches of the Community Church Movement for all communications and marketing issues, needs, and questions.
Lead, coach, and supervise communications marketing staff and volunteers.
Supervise all English and Spanish language content in all digital and physical formats.
Serve as primary point of contact and interface for all communications and marketing related partners and vendors.
Plan and execute social media strategy for all churches in the Community Church Movement.
Serve as needed as facilitator and coordinator for special events.
Assist with the coordination and execution of religious duties, including baptisms, prayer, child dedications, communion, home visits, and pastoral guidance.
Other duties as assigned and needed.

Experience And Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Bilingual fluency in written and spoken Spanish and English.
Two to four years experience in related environment.
Experience leading teams of both staff and volunteers.
Excellent writing ability as evidenced in writing samples.
Excellent interpersonal skills and outstanding customer service orientation.
Ability to self-start and work with minimal supervision
Ability to positively and professionally represent the churches of the Community Church Movement.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Mobile: In and out of office to ensure task completion
Additional hours as required by ministry needs
